Utah Jazz Vs. New York Knicks

Tonight for me is a very exciting day. At 7:30 P.M, I get to attend Madison Square Garden to watch the Knicks play the Jazz. I am a little skeptical if the Knicks can pull out this win, since the Jazz have started the year with an exuberant 10-4 record. As I said in my last post, I thought we played well against the Bulls and I only hope we can do as good against this team ;). Unfortunately, the Knicks are about as balanced as a sea saw. Some games we play phenomenal and others we look like some mediocre high school team. Either way in order for us to make the playoffs (somehow) we need to pull off crucial games like these.
So far, this year New York hasn't beaten one team over .500. We beat the Minnesota Timberwolves on November 4, just barely pulling off a win. Unfortunately the Timberwolves are considered one of the worst teams in the NBA, since the departure of Kevin Garnett. Our next win was against the Denver Nuggets, who at that time were struggling and were completely unable to play like the sensational team they are. Hopefully we can beat the Utah Jazz; who I consider one of the elite NBA teams considering they made the Western Conference Finals last year. Elite team or not, Knicks need to get this win.

First Entry!

Hello! Well, this is my first blog; and the topic I decided to write about are the New York Knicks. I understand that they are not exactly the ideal NBA team, but I unfortunately have become obsessed with them. I understand that's hard to believe considering we have started the year with a 3-9 record, we have a mentally unstable coach in Isiah Thomas, and probably the player with the highest ego, Stephon Marbury or as he likes to call himself Starbury ;). Besides that and probably about another thousand reasons; I have overcome my friends mocking me, and my Nets obsessed family forsaking me, to become a "hard core" Knicks fan. I truly don't know what makes me like them, but I have been a fan for a long time.
The purpose of my blog is not to bore you with family stories and my life, but to tell you my opinion on the team. So, I was happy this Saturday as I saw my team beat the struggling Chicago Bulls. I'm usually happy when we win games, but this game I was a little extra happy, because we snapped our 8-game losing streak. We played like a real legitimate NBA team against the Bulls. We had a couple of season firsts this game.
1. We had our first double-digit lead
2. We held the Bulls to 12 2nd quarter points (the least any team has had against us.)
3. Stephon Marbury wasn't booed for his omnipotent performance.
So, now after this game there is a glimmer of hope for Isiah Thomas' New York gang.
